Can't wait to meet their bundle of joy in the next month!!

I recently had my first session at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis. Such a fun and popular spot for photos, especially since it isn't exactly warm outside yet and decent indoor locations can be hard to find. For this maternity session we tried out a bunch of locations inside the building and then did a few photos outside because mom-to-be had some pretty cute boots we needed to get some photos of!

Adventures With The Self Timer
Category: dogs, families, foster, kids, personal, petsAuthor: KME Photography
This afternoon I had a meet-and-greet scheduled for Jersey, my foster dog, and a potential forever family. Thinking of that earlier in the day made me realize that I still didn't have any photos of Jersey and me, which is something I try to do with every foster dog. So 15 minutes before leaving for church I thought why not try to get some photos of Jersey, the kids, me, and my dog Lily (of course)! Brilliant idea right?! Plenty of time to take a photo, and it will be perfect!
It might have been a more brilliant idea if my husband was actually home to take the photo, instead I had to rely on the self timer and the tripod. I started off with a test shot, and as you can see from the rest of these photos it was practically impossible to get everyone looking at the camera, especially the dogs, without someone standing behind it getting their attention. My husband does a good job in that department - he even dances on occasion for the kids. After all that at least I'm in a photo, but I did leave for church nice and sweaty!
On a happy note, Jersey's meeting went well and looks like she will be heading to her forever home soon! I'm so excited for her <3
And we're done!!
We are going to try Take 2 when the hubby is around to help!

This was a fun session with 6 cousins, and soon 7 & 8 will join the pack. In case you missed the cute baby announcement for 7 & 8, you can see that here. It was so adorable to see how much these cousins loved each other!

Not much excitement at my house today except that it snowed AGAIN and we are all pretty sick of it around here. The snow put a crimp in my original plans to get together with a friend and her kids, but there's always next week I guess. By then it will have to be nicer out since spring officially arrives this week, or that's my theory anyway. If there is more snow after the official beginning of spring I won't just be a little crabby! Hanging out in my fleece pants makes me feel better today though :)
I've been meaning to blog this cute family for a while now, two adorable girls and now a little boy!

I took photos of one of the cutest pittie mixes today so I just have to share some. His name is Taz and he just joined Secondhand Hounds this past Friday (March 15) and his foster family thinks he is pretty awesome. I thought Taz was pretty cool too (so did my kids) but I think I am in love with his foster family's couch and chairs along with the lighting, so I'll photograph any dog for them if I get to use that room!

My 4 yr old is obsessed with Angry Birds! He recently had a birthday so he has been supplied with a crazy amount of these toys, but I guess that isn't enough since he asks for more every time we go to Target. And it's not just Angry Birds, it is "Angry Birds Star Wars" which I find funny since my son has never even seen any of the Star Wars movies. It was a pretty smart marketing move to link Angry Birds with Star Wars, bringing in a whole new 4 yr old market!
At the end of this post I'll share a quick couple of photos of his new bird collection, but first here is a cute little family from this past fall.
And now some Angry Birds....
(If you are wondering about that snaggle tooth he lost it this morning! and I can't find it anywhere so I guess we are writing a note to the tooth fairy tonight and leaving that under the pillow.)
