July Home Wedding

There is always something sweet about weddings at the home where the bride or groom grew up - lots of nostalgia and they always just feel more relaxed.  This home wedding was no exception and this couple was so laid back and wonderful on their warm July wedding day.  One big difference with this wedding, compared with other home weddings I have done, is that there were lots of horses!  The bride grew up with horses and wanted to include them in her photos and I was more than happy to oblige! I guess that's one of the perks of having a home wedding, you can include all your animals.   :)

Another thing that was fun about this wedding was the traditional Norwegian wedding cake, Kransekake.  I had one at my wedding too so it was fun to see one again.

4th of July Wedding

Did you know there are towns in Alaska that you can't drive to, you can only fly?  Sounds like a tough place to meet your soulmate but this couple beat the odds!  These love birds met as teachers up in the Alaskan wilderness but decided to go down south to Minnesota for their wedding.  It was only fitting this couple had a small town wedding and a low key ceremony on the lake at the groom's parent's house.  And because it was a holiday, we were able to roam the streets of scenic Waverly for some fun photos at the reception!
