Do you remember this adorable couple?  The early morning maternity session with the gorgeous sunlight!  Well looks like baby didn't like the idea of early, or on time, at all.  This cutie was more then a week late with no signs of wanting to be born, but his parents were pretty anxious to meet him, so they made it happen - better to learn early that parents are in charge!  Sometimes I wonder who my kids think are in charge, because it sure doesn't feel like me some days.  :)

Stillwater, MN

I have added Stillwater, MN to the list of places I would live.  My mom used to tell me I would like it there and I just replied, "ok mom"(insert eye roll).  But turns out it is pretty awesome and totally reminds me of my beloved Saratoga Springs, NY.  I think what changed my mind was that I actually got to explore a bit of the neighborhoods, and not just the main street area.  Totally gorgeous!!  Now don't everyone decide to move there now that you have read here how awesome it is!  I still need to figure out my strategy to get there and I don't want all the houses taken by the time I can get there - well there or Linden Hills...  :)

How did I finally get a chance to wander around Stillwater?  Weddings!!  I've started working with Chloe Photography and she had two weddings at the Stillwater Historic Courthouse.  Here are some photos from the first one, and I hope to share the other wedding on the blog soon.

White After Labor Day

September is here and with it comes a busy season!  Not only are people thinking about those family Christmas photos (ahem, you should book them ASAP) but wedding season is busy, busy!!  I have started an internship of sorts, maybe mentorship is a better word, with Chloe Photography.  So I have a wedding almost every weekend that I will be working with Chloe to learn the ropes and start off my wedding business on the right foot!  It's all pretty exciting for me, especially since I will be able to share some of those photos here - so get ready for lots of white wedding dresses!!

At the same time I am plenty busy with family photos, kid photos, pets, some seniors and babies.  I guess I get my fix of everything these days.  The newborn session I'm posting today is one of my favorites so far, not only because the nursery was just adorable, but we were able to include all the furry babies in the house for some photos too!

Ice Cream

Ice cream is delicious, especially with sprinkles, and it makes for a wonderful bribe for kids to get through a photo shoot.  Don't worry, I'm not the one bribing the kids with ice cream, but I have heard more then one parent use it as the "after pictures are done" treat.  Hey, works for me!!! Makes me want ice cream too, and my kids don't mind an ice cream run after I get home from a photo session :)

The idea of ice cream, or "cream", definitely helped this cute 2 yr old get some nice smiles towards the end of his photo session!
