Pet Expo

Earlier this year a lot of cool people went to the Twin Cities Pet Expo.  I was there with my foster at the time, Jersey, who since then as gone to an amazing home, and I also donated a mini session at the Small Dog Rescue of Minnesota booth for their raffle.  The family in this blog post were the lucky winners of that mini session raffle and it was so wonderful to meet them and all those kids!!

Deer Lake Orchard

I recently had an engagement session at Deer Lake Orchard  which was a great location for a fall photo session!  Also, they have delicious apples - I should know since I'm still enjoying my 2 lb bag!  If you are wondering it takes that many apples to construct a heart (see photo below)  :)

My 3 Pumpkins

Amazing things can happen when my kids are in a decent mood and I have 20 minutes on a nice day!  Not to mention a great assistant and flying dachshund to get some giggles :)

Crazy October

I love October, it is my favorite time of the year!  Fall colors, sweatshirt weather, hot chocolate, and Halloween.  October is also craaazy busy for me with lots and lots of family photo sessions!  So just be warned I may be slightly frazzled if you run into me.  Thank goodness I can work out some of that stress at my good old Y - watch out Y friends!  :)

Pumpkin Month

Around my house we are obsessed with pumpkins.  My kids like to point out all the pumpkins they see in front of houses and we are lucky to have one of our neighbors go all out with their decorating for fall.  We try to count their pumpkins and start to lose track because there are so many, or maybe partly because my daughter doesn't quite know the numbers between 7 and 20.  To help the kids be a little festive we just bought a couple of pumpkins for our front step to help keep them happy for now, and next up on the fall to-do list is carving!

My 4 Year Old Medical Student

My son found an app that costs $35.  Not sure how a 4 year old finds an app that costs that much but it is an anatomy and physiology app that is actually pretty impressive - although not impressive enough for me to pay for it right now.  I'm guessing it is aimed towards medical students because it has all these cool videos that diagram different systems in the body.  I figure he can use the free option and learn about the respiratory system for now and if he's lucky maybe Santa will buy the app for him so he can go on to learn about the brain, which is the reason he wants it.  Crazy kid.  

I always love seeing this family!  Such cute kids, and the baby of this family just turned 1!
