My Jersey

Jersey is the third foster dog I have had and she is an amazing dog!  She traveled to Minnesota a couple of weeks ago after a rough start at life in Missouri.  Jersey's first family abandoned her to die at a shelter in Missouri after she at rat poison.  The shelter saved her life, and she got a second chance with Small Dog Rescue of Minnesota.

Jersey is a 1-2 yr old German Shorthaired Pointer mix weighing about 24 lbs.  She is one of the happiest and sweetest dogs I have ever met, and her tail seems to be always wagging.  She has some energy so she would do well with a fenced-in backyard and daily walks.  She is a smart girl and will sit when told - we are working on other commands.  She loves to learn new tricks to please her humans, and she is food motivated so treats help.  Jersey LOVES attention and will soak up any you can give her.  She will nose your hand for extra pets and sit right next to you on the couch.  She is kennel trained and house trained.

Jersey does well on a leash and is great with kids.  Since she loves attention so much she will put her paws up on you which should be watched with little kids around, but she seems to do that the most when she is more excited.  Jersey has done well with the resident dog (a diva mini dachshund), so if you already have a dog Jersey would love a playmate.  She would be great as an only dog as well.

Jersey will make someone a fantastic and loyal companion!  You can adopt Jersey through Small Dog Rescue (I will probably cry a little when you taker her from me, just so you are warned),

And just so you know she's not perfect... but she is pretty smart :)
