Meet my newest foster doggie, Randie!
Randie is a 2 yr old long haired mini dachshund who loves to snuggle and cuddle, and even loves to be held like a baby. He came to Minnesota after living in a shelter in Kansas where he came in as a stray. From his personality I think he must have been a family dog before making his way to the shelter because he is one sweet little guy!
He loves to be near people and is not a fan of his kennel - he likes to bark until you let him out. He is crate trained and we are working on the potty training because just like a sassy two-year old, potty training really just depends on the doxie's mood. He does well if you let him out on a regular basis but does not tell you he needs to go out. Randie also loves to go for walks but he does not like cars, they make him nervous, so we stick to less noisy bike paths.
Randie gets along well with the kids and our dog Lily, who is also a mini doxie! Randie would like Lily to play with him but Lily is kind of a diva so she ignores him. For revenge Randie tries to mount her every once in a while - wait, am I allowed to say that? ;)
If you are looking for a lap dog, and a walking companion, this cutie can be adopted through Secondhand Hounds!
Oh, I was confused, you DON'T want me chewing on your blanket?
Enjoying cuddles!

LOVE your photos of Randie! I worked with him at intake and wanted to keep him for myself! Still thinking about trying to convince my husband we need him...
Randie is such a love bug! It is going to be so hard to give him up, if I ever do ;) No apps yet so I hope I get a little more time to convince my hubby - or you can work on yours!
We just bought a house and will be settling in in May. If Randie is still with you you may be hearing from me! He seemed like he'd be the perfect partner in crime for my tiny corgi, Loretta!
He would do well with a friend to play with!
