My Garden Includes Beets

I started a garden again this year which I planted promptly on Memorial Day - it's nice to be prompt with something!  This year I am growing loads of kale because my daughter eats it like a rabbit right out of the garden, and I have some new things including beets and broccoli.  I am not a fan of beets but my son picked them out (I told him he would have to eat them, so we'll see how that pans out) and the broccoli just because.  I am not growing corn this year because that was a major fail last year and what I thought I could use as decorative fall corn stalks just ended up being a huge pain to clean up.  

Now, the stressful part is just remembering to water everything!  Wish me luck :)  Oh, and if you have any *good* recipes using kale or beets please let me know - I'm pretty much stumped on the beets.

I had a fun session with this adorable 2 yr old!  So much cuteness she got a long blog post!!
