Grain Belt Studio

I recently signed on to be part of a studio space in NE Minneapolis that  is located in one of the Grain Belt Buildings....

I just had my first couple of sessions in the studio and I thought I would share some adorable families who got to try it out!

Take a Seat and Watch Me Grow

It's fun to use something constant in photos when you photograph your baby as he/she grows every month, or few months, because it helps really see the changes that happen as they get older.  For my daughter I used a stuffed teddy bear which she still loves, so I think that is extra sweet.

This little guy just turned one and we used a chair originally at his newborn session, again at his 6 month, and now at his 1 yr photos!  Definitely fun to see the difference!

Daylight Savings

I never can remember the deal about Daylight Saving Time - it "starts" and "ends" but I don't know which is which.  Does it start in the fall, or does it end in the fall?  All I know is that the spring is the worst daylight savings time because you lose an hour of sleep, and the only reason I remember that is because of that little saying "fall back, spring ahead" - which actually is pretty tricky to remember.  It's much more easy for me to remember stalactite vs. stalagmite, because stactites hold tight to the ceiling, and you might trip on a stalagmite.

As you can see I'm still trying to recover from that lost hour of sleep :)

This cute 18 month old was having a rough day adjusting to that horrible time change, but we still got some cute photos in all those adorable outfits!

6 Month Studio Session

I do a lot of "milestone" month sessions in my studio, either from my Watch Me Grow package or just booking an Any-Time Mini, and I don't get around to sharing a lot of them.  This past week I had three 6-month sessions so I figured I should get at least one of them up on the blog, and this is the first one I finished.
(If you are wondering what the milestones are, they are usually 3, 6, 9, 12 months and I do have the Watch Me Grow package which is specific to capturing them.)

Chalkboard Fun!

Small Business Saturday

All those Black Friday deals can get everyone excited to shop at those big stores, but don't forget the little stores too. We are just hours away from the second annual Small Business Saturday, which promotes shopping "small".
