Puppies!!

Today I got to meet some of the cutest little puppies and their beautiful momma!  Mom and pups were rescued with Secondhand Hounds because they were being forced to live outside, and in our Minnesota winter weather these little sweeties wouldn't have lasted very long.  A deal was made, and all 10 puppies along with mom got to move into a warm and comfy foster home!  Soon enough they will all be available for adoption and I'm sure it won't take long to find them loving homes.

Buddy and Ollie

Buddy and Ollie are a bonded pair of Chinese Crested Powder Puffs, and are just as soft and puffy as I thought they would be.  They have been together their entire lives (12 yrs) and are even brothers from the same litter.  Ollie was a showdog in his earlier years, and both boys love to be pampered and are as sweet as can be!  If you want to adopt this senior pair, head to Small Dog Rescue of Minnesota and fill out an application.

Christmas 2012

For my Christmas 2012 blog post you get to see photos of my kids - lucky you :)  I just had to post these since I am pretty amazed what can be accomplished in 10 minutes with the bribery of french fries.  So when the cameras come out this year for holiday pictures and you don't want your photo taken, just think "french fries" and smile.

Have a wonderful, and very merry, Christmas!!

Favorite Holiday Movies

Every year I have to make time to watch the same holiday movies.  The top two on my list are always Elf and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.  In third place is The Muppet Christmas Carol (because The Muppets are awesome).  I also don't mind watching some version of How The Grinch Stole Christmas but if I don't watch it I usually can just read the book to my kids.

I have never really felt I had to watch The Christmas Story but I usually catch part of it since I think it is on the entire day of Christmas on some channel.  I still don't understand why anyone would make a leg lamp in the first place....

This year I have also had a chance to watch some "movies" that I would normally not watch, including Merry Madagascar and Shrek the Halls - thank you Netflix.  On deck for tonight is some Santa Paws movie (thanks again to Netflix), so that should be awesome.  Maybe I will add it to my "have to watch" Christmas movie list?  Probably not, but if it keeps the kids still for 30 minutes that's still pretty awesome.

What movies do you have to watch every year around the holidays?

Almost Christmas

Christmas is almost here!  On this Christmas Eve Eve, I am feeling pretty caught up with everything.  I am done shopping, presents are wrapped, and now I just need to spend some time with my family, and maybe finish just a few blog posts :)

Here are some adorable family photos from a cold day back in November!
